It is our aim to make the admissions process here at Messiah as simple, straightforward and stress free as we can. Every prospective Messiah pupil is admitted in-line with the Education Ministry’s regulations and Messiah admissions policy.
When considering your child for a place at our primary school, we will interview both you and your young learner. As part of the admissions process, there is an age related placement test for your child to sit to assess their progress and ensure we can fit them into the appropriate education level.
Throughout the admissions process, we do all we can to remove any pressure that might otherwise be felt. Looking at previous school reports is a great way to learn a little bit more about your child without the stress associated with further testing.
The following procedures are to be followed when applying:
To begin the application process, please pick and fill an application form from the Admissions Office. The form should be submitted along with any of the following documents:
- A valid copy of birth certificate
- A copy of immunization/vaccination card
- 2 recent passport photographs
- A recent report card /or leaving certificate from the previous school for students applying to Reception class.
Once you have filled and submitted the application form, a convenient date will be scheduled for the entrance assessment (For Reception/Pre-primary Class only). Entrance assessments are intended to detect the level of current development and achievement. For Kindergarten /Nursery 1 and 2, admission is based on the appropriate age as per the class.
When the assessment is completed, the Admissions Officer will invite the parent to discuss the results of his/her child and then, if appropriate, issue an admission letter, bank slips, and School regulations. Payment should be made within two weeks from the date the admission letter is issued. A copy of the School bank slip should be delivered at the Admissions Office after making the payments.
Once fees are paid, the parent will be required to purchase a complete set of School uniform.
On the starting date, the parent will be required to come along with the child/student to the Admissions Office by 8:00am and the Admissions Officer will then introduce the parent and child to the Head teacher.
Please note that registration at Messiah Nursery School does not guarantee your child a space in Primary School, and Messiah reserves the right to place a child in the class which is most appropriate, according to their age and current development stage.
Class sizes are also limited, so early registration is advised to avoid disappointment. In case a class is full, your child will be put on the waiting list on payment of 50% admission fee.
Application to the School is not limited to the Nursery School but applies to the whole school. For example, a child can be asked to join the School at Primary School level when a vacancy arises.
What does the research say?
Research has shown that the single biggest reason a child does well at school is the support of parents who take a real, active and consistent interest in their child’s education at home. The research suggests that a parent who is actively and consistently engaged in their child’s learning can add the equivalent of two to three years of additional education over their school career. This is precisely why we’re so keen to promote the importance of parental engagement.
Do you do refunds?
Tuition fees, after payment has been made, are non-refundable.
When do i pay?

What are the consequences of Late payments?
